Why does the app need my location?
Location is only used to show weather, sky, and air-quality data for where you are. You can decline and search for any city manually instead — every feature works without granting location access.
Does Clearcast work offline?
Yes, cache-first. The last successfully fetched forecast, hourly graph, and air-quality data are shown instantly on launch with an "as of HH:MM" label if you're offline. The Sky tab (moon phase, sunrise/sunset, day length, golden hour) is always fully offline — it's pure on-device astronomical math with zero network dependency.
Where does the weather data come from?
Open-Meteo, a free and open weather data project. See the in-app Credits & Attribution screen (Settings → Credits & Attribution) for full details.
What's the difference between US AQI and European AQI?
They're two different air-quality index standards with different scales and color bands. Switch between them anytime in Settings → Air Quality Standard.
Does Clearcast have ads or a subscription?
No. Clearcast is free, with no ads, no account, and no in-app purchases.
